During my travels to the Mosel Valley in Germany not long ago, I shared my experiences from the trip to my personal social media account. A surprising number of people beyond my closer circle of friends gave positive feedback finding them entertaining, and I found that I enjoy writing and telling stories quite a bit.

I have a lot of opinions and interests, and have much to express. While TikTok gave me an outlet, as much as I enjoy creating there, I am finding that it can be limiting at times.

I also felt there are enough wine 101 things out there start to demystify wine drinking basics for everyone, but saw that there weren’t much beyond that—it seemed they’re mostly very basic essentials. What about the people who already know the surface level but want to leisurely learn about something more beyond that?

Here, I hope to provide a sprinkle of the in-between, the wine 201 of scratching the surface of why different wines taste the way they do, and break down initially intimidating concepts surrounding them into digestible tidbits. Why not a picture book of sorts for adults, except for alcohol aka grownup juice?

More frequently, I will probably be sharing some personal stories related to wines, whether they’re from working in the industry or reflections that were inspired by beverages or other hospitality professionals.

In a world where short form content is taking over and there are countless distractions, this is my attempt at sitting down to make another kind of content to give not only the audience but also myself a chance to take a breath and consume something in a longer format that requires a little more intentional attention.

In any case, thank you so much for your interest and support, and I hope you learn something from these, as well as get a fun glimpse into my world of working in the industry as a sommelier.

Pour yourself a glass, and join me—it’s about to get just a little nerdy here.

Thank you so much for following along, it means the world to me! While I will have some content available for all, rest will be for paid subscribers (especially the juicy stories). All proceeds to go funding grape juice for further study and content.
